Lions Environmental Photo Contest


District 2s3 Environmental photo contest timeline:

November 10, 2010 - all local club entries must be to District 2s3 environmental chair,
Carol Peters, 36 Mill Street, Maxwell, TX 78656 (see rules and photo ideas below)
December 10 - District 2s3 judging

January 10, 2011- District winning photo will be forwarded to MD-2 environmental chair

March 1 - MD-2 winning photo will be forwarded to Lions International

June 28 - All Multiple District-level entries will be displayed at Lions International
Convention in Seattle, Washington

Registered convention attendees will vote; awards will be presented in six categories;
winning photos will appear on Lions Web site.

Photo Contest rules:
1) 8x10 printed photos will be judged on originality, artistic merit, and portrayal of the environmental theme
2) 2011 theme: TBA
3) Categories for District 2s3 contest all without people for 2011:
       Animal Life
       Plant Liffe
       Urban & natural landscape
       Weather phenonmenon
4) 8x10 photos must be original and unaltered and can be black-and-white or color.
5) Photographers are fully responsible for the cost of taking and processing all photos.
6) All photos entered become the property of Lions clubs International.
7) Inappropriate or objectionable photos (as determined by the judges) will be disqualified.
8) Email district level questions to capeters12@austin.rr.com and international level questions to programs@lionsclubs.org
